Position Overview

The Sales Development Representative is the first point of contact for prospects, and therefore requires a strong business acumen, and ability to develop opportunities over the phone. As the front line of the sales organization, your role will be challenging, and this role will give you the tools to position Marketing Evolution’s value in the marketplace and prepare you well for advancement within the Marketing Evolution organization.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Research, identify and qualify prospects within companies spending millions of dollars on advertising media
  • Partner with the Field Sales team to develop strategies for gaining access to key influencer's and decision makers inside targeted accounts
  • Heavy outbound phone and email prospecting of target accounts is expected
  • Other outbound marketing across multiple touch points, online and offline
  • Maintain communication with prospects through educational email and phone touch points to continue their understanding of Marketing Evolution
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of conversations/notes in Salesforce

Qualifications

We’re looking for intelligent, highly-motivated individuals, who are able to succeed in a fast-moving company and industry. The candidate must be a self-starter who can see the goal and execute against it.

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • Ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of relevant sales development experience, but is not required
  • Motivated, personable, articulate, and most importantly, fearless in picking up the phone to call on marketing executives and managers
  • Working knowledge of the marketing and advertising industry as well as technology is a plus.
