Position Overview: Media Strategy Intern

The Media Strategy Intern will be partnered with a senior member of our Center of Excellence to support their needs.  This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in a fast-growth SaaS software company. This role will focus primarily on actively using the software a daily basis.  Training and mentoring will be provided with the goal of becoming proficient with the software tool to use independently for assigned projects.  Analysis to be conducted and insights to be provided for each project. 

Key Characteristics


  • Be a NYC-based undergraduate or graduate student who can work in our offices 10-15 hours per week over the next 6 months.  We know that you are a student first, so school and exams will always be prioritized
  • We do our best to be flexible around your schedule. There is an opportunity for potential continuation in a full-time capacity in the Summer of 2019
  • Be a Business, Marketing, or Advertising/Communications major or very interested in Data Analytics, Media, or Technology
  • Interested in and/or no fear in learning and using new marketing tools and software
  • Highly skilled in Excel, strong math skills and a basic understanding of media planning and buying (1+ courses in advertising fundamentals and/or media)


  • Previous internships with media agencies, client-side experience, media research firms or data-driven marketing companies
  • Classwork in data analytics, marketing research or advertising effectiveness

Experience and Skills the Internship Offers

  • In addition to being paid $12-15 per hour (based on qualifications) for this internship, you will be able to:
  • Learn the ins and outs of working for a Software-as-a-Service company, and specifically how Paid Media is measured and optimized at the person-level
  • Work within the Media Center of Excellence to understand how the software outputs are analyzed and how critical thinking is applied towards providing client insights and recommendations
  • Learn how media channels play a role in each of the customer’s KPIs (Key Performing Indicators)
  • Learn about the importance of clean data for successful marketing and nurturing, as well as be exposed to the latest marketing automation tools
  • Be responsible for your own projects – a real experience and resume builder. The team will support you, but we will embrace you as part of the marketing team.
